Celebration Quotation – January 28, 2016

Today’s quote comes from a song in Twelfth Night:

"Present mirth hath present laughter; What's to come is still unsure." Twelfth Night; Act II, Scene 3

We adore this sweet portrait – a drawing by George Grenville Manton of an outdoor performance of the play in the late 19th or early 20th century.  Of the actor playing Feste – W.B. Field – we could find very little, but from the look of him, he made a wonderful Fool.   The actress playing Olivia is Tita Brand – she later married Belgian poet Emile Cammaerts and translated many of his works into English.
