Celebration Quotation – February 2, 2016

In honor of Ground Hog Day – a famous quote about shadows from that “Scottish play”:

"Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more." Macbeth, Act V, Scene 5

We think this 1889 drawing by artist Arthur Jule Goodman of Edwin Booth in the role of the Scottish king seems to capture this moment in the play.
